This book provided me not only with further information as to what happened in Eastern Europe to the Ethnic Germans who had lived there for hundreds of years but also gave an insightful background as to the developments that led to the atrocities inflicted on them. What was of interest to me was the "standing" of this "scholar of history" whose credentials are exemplary. I will certainly be reading more of his books in the not too distant future. Further information on his publications in this field can be found at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_de_Zayas#Publications_on_Ethnic_Cleansing_of_Germans_after_WW_IIwikidot NB: Opens in a new window.
