Expellees

"If the conscience of men ever again becomes sensitive, these expulsions will be remembered to the undying shame of all who committed or connived them….."
Gollancz, Victor. 1946. Our Threatened Values. London. Page 96

And who did the "conniving"? Do the names Stalin, Truman, Churchill, Roosevelt and Attlee come to mind? Well, they should. Shame on them!

The well known 'Sinews of Peace' speech including the following “…..and mass expulsions of millions of Germans on a scale grievous and undreamed-of are now taking place.” given by Churchill at Westminster College, Fulton, Missouri 5 March 1946 [1] though seen by many as an acute observation as to events in Eastern Europe actually exposes Churchill for the hypocrite that he was if one recalls what he said less than fifteen months earlier when he boasted “For expulsion is the method which, so far as we have been able to see, will be the most satisfactory and lasting. There will be no mixture of populations to cause endless trouble, as has been the case in Alsace-Lorraine. A clean sweep will be made. I am not alarmed by the prospect of the disentanglement of populations, nor even by these large transferences, which are more possible in modern conditions than they ever were before.” given by Churchill in the House of Commons 15 December 1944 [2]
The result of this “ethnic cleansing”, for which 'the great man' was culpable to anyone outside of the sycophants of yesteryear or those who continue with this mythomania today, was that 3,000,000, mainly old men, women and children, died. Churchill's Germanophobia had reached its peak.

Many Bohemian, Moravian, Slovakian and Karpathian Germans were expelled; the "lucky one" escaping with their lives. The Benes Decrees were a crime against humanity that resulted in many deaths and appalling attrocities, but how many people are aware of this? How many people know anything about the Brűnner Todesmarsch or Brno death march of May 1945 or the massacre at Aussig an der Elbe in July 1945?
